I’m setting up an alternative for people with shared values and an interest in children’s literature:

Goodnight Mush is an independent social network that can help us stay connected with each other. It’s a private social media network run on the Honeycommb platform. Your data is private. You will not be tracked, surveilled, suppressed, or sold to.

Membership costs $5/month.

We can expect to start slowly—we’ve invested years in building up connections on FB and we can’t expect its replacement to be as robust out of the gate. But we’ll get there, and it’s worth the effort to build an intentional community like this one.

You will be able to:

• create a profile

• make posts (text, rich-media, and livestreams)

• get likes and threaded conversations on your posts

• join groups (create them too, but with help from a moderator)

• create events (with help from a moderator)

• exchange private messages
